I was detained at the airfield which is the same for most, if not all foreigners, who for diverse reasons end up in the LA Metro Prison. This was no federal prison camp. I was first incarcerated and questioned in a tiny police station within the airport. Then I was cuffed and driven in the backseat of a pick up lorry to the nearby police station for holding and further querying. I stayed here in a tiny holding cell for 2 nights and one full day. On my 3rd day since the arrest I was brought to the nearby court that I originally thought was the prison but at about 4:30pm I realized we were being transported to the particular prison miles away. I was sentenced to 10 years. Surviving prison was going to be tough.
